This just in- I received the latest scoop on some of our most high profiled celebrities on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Every Thursday over 2 million viewers tune into the bickering, wig pulling, scream matching, scenes between these5 women eho have been caught by the celeb bug. Yesterdday marked the season finale of the series and it didn't disappoint. It was entertaining but what the show lacks is depth.
These women claim to be the elite of Atlanta BUT live no where near Atlanta. They are not from Buckhead- which is where the wealthy live. NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield have their homes sponsores by Bravo. Lisa had to downsize due to foreclosure and Kim depends on a sugar daddy for her lifestyle. These women are Broke Phi Broke.
I was excited when Bravo signed on Black women to the RH franchise but this is a shallow epitome of what WE represent. The bickerness is tacky- lets see some movers and shakers.
In 2010, the real housewives franchise will introduce the D.C version. I can only home that they can get some driven women.
I think if The Housewives of Atlanta didn't brag about being wealthy but just kept it REAL it owuld be a different story. If you can't pay the mortage. then maybe you shouldnt be on the show.
